Ricky LarsonHead Coach - Youth

Coach Ricky graduated from Spring Lake Park High School with 112 career wins and he was a 3x state tournament participant. His accolades don't end there. He was a 2x Cadet World Team member where he placed both 5th and 7th at the Freestyle World Championships. He also wrestled for the MN Storm for 4 years and placed 3rd at University Nationals. Ricky is now in his 15 year of coaching. He was the Head Freestyle Coach at N. St. Paul for 2 years, Spring Lake Park Assistant Coach for 1 year, the Anoka Youth Head Coach for 6 years, and the Anoka Freestyle Coach for 3 years. He has been a youth coach for our Blaine wrestling program since 2015. His wrestling and coaching experience is a great asset to the team and he is a great motivator to our youth wrestlers. |

Haythem KhalilAssistant Coach - Youth

Coach Haythem comes from a family of wrestlers. Haythem wrestled for Spring Lake Park High School where he had over 100 wins, was a 2x Section Champion and was named all conference twice. Haythem is a 4x State Freestyle place winner and a 3x State Greco Place winner. Haythem graduated from Augsburg college with a major in international business. After college, Haythem participated in Mixed Martial Arts, and has coached folkstyle and freestyle wrestling at the youth and high school levels. Haythem also brings a diverse background, many years of experience, and great enthusiasm to Blaine Wrestling. |
